This incident took place in Daraganj of Prayagraj, where the woman got her husband arrested on May 2. The woman's name is Soni Tripathi, while the husband's name is Prabhudatt Tripathi. Prabhudatt is a resident of Kisundas village in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh and has been living in Daraganj for the last few years. Both of them were married 9 years ago in Pratapgarh. After four years of marriage, Prabhudatt threw his wife out of the house, after which there was no conversation between the two. Police have registered the case under serious sections.
Husband exposed?
Soni talked to Prabhudutt through fake ID on Instagram, while Prabhudutt started telling her his feelings considering her to be another woman. Soon he fell in love with an unknown woman. Many times he used to send messages on Instagram and call the woman to meet her at the hotel and also promised to marry her. After this Soni called him to Nagvasuki temple in Daraganj. On one side, Prabhudatt reached with his friend, while on the other side, Soni went to the temple with her parents and brother. Soni's family members were standing away from the temple.
When both of them met, Prabhudatt could not recognize Soni because Soni had covered her face. Both of them had talked in the beginning. As soon as Soni removed the dupatta, Prabhudutt became furious and started slapping Soni. Then Soni's family came forward and saved him. Soni's brother called the police by calling number 102. Police reached the spot and arrested the accused.
Sections imposed against accused Prabhudutt
Daraganj police have registered a case against Prabhudutt under section 115 (beating wife), section 351 (threatening wife) and section 352 (intentional insult) of BNS.
