After the historic victory of BJP in West Bengal, the process of government formation has gained momentum. In this series, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will reach West Bengal on Thursday evening. He will leave directly for Bengal after attending the swearing-in ceremony in Bihar.

According to sources, Amit Shah will hold important meetings with party leaders during his visit. Before the legislature party meeting to be held on May 8, they will discuss the strategy regarding the swearing-in ceremony and formation of the new cabinet. This meeting is being considered very important because in this the composition of the Chief Minister and the cabinet can be finalized.

BJP has appointed Amit Shah as central observer for West Bengal. Along with him, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has been made the central co-observer. BJP’s National General Secretary Arun Singh gave this information through a press release.

It is noteworthy that this time in West Bengal, BJP has performed brilliantly and has paved the way for forming the government for the first time. According to the Election Commission data, BJP has got 207 seats in the 294-member assembly while TMC is reduced to 80 seats. Apart from this, Congress has got 2 seats and CPI (M) has got 1 seat.

Amit Shah’s role was very important during the election campaign. He is also called the chief strategist of BJP and ‘Chanakya’ of current politics. From the beginning of the ‘Parivartan Yatra’ at the end of March till April 27, he continuously held rallies, road shows and public meetings and fiercely attacked the government led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Amit Shah, while participating in election programs continuously on 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 April, cornered the TMC government on issues like ‘Syndicate Raj’ and ‘infiltration’.

Now his visit is being considered as a decisive step towards government formation, where the face of the new CM of West Bengal can become clear in the next few days.
