Bengal Violence News : After the results of the West Bengal assembly elections, the atmosphere is more tense. Within just 48 to 72 hours of the verdict, incidents of violence, clashes and vandalism are emerging from many places. Similarly, on Tuesday (May 5), political tension arose in the Bamangheri area under Sandeshkhali. Socialists opened fire on police and central security forces, injuring three security personnel.
Political tension erupted in Bamangheri area (Ward No. 14) of Sarberia-Agarati Gram Panchayat under Sandeshkhali. Late on Tuesday night, when a team of policemen along with central security forces were patrolling the area, they were allegedly opened fire on by socialites. After this firing, there was tension in the area.

Incidents of violence have been reported from many areas
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, a BJP worker was beaten to death in Kolkata’s Newtown area. TMC supporters are alleged to be involved in this incident. The killing has sparked outrage among the family and local residents. The situation got so heated that the police had to resort to baton charge to bring the mob under control.
There have been reports of incidents of violence in many parts of the state, including Newtown in Bengal. TMC office in Jagatballabhpur in Howrah was set on fire. After that, large-scale violence also broke out in the Hog Market area of Kolkata. Clashes and arson incidents between TMC and BJP supporters have also been reported in areas like Jalpaiguri, South 24 Parganas and Asansol.

Strict action by Election Commission on incidents of violence
Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has taken a strict stance on incidents of violence. He has given clear instructions to take immediate action against those inciting violence or vandalism. The Chief Election Commissioner has directed senior officials of the state including the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police (DGP), Kolkata Police Commissioner and Director General (DG) of the Central Armed Police Forces to be alert. Collectors, Superintendents of Police (SP) and police officers of all districts have been ordered to patrol continuously to keep the situation under control.
The Election Commission has also made it clear that any kind of violence will not be tolerated after the elections. Violent and vandalism will be arrested immediately.
