Bangladesh batsman Towheed Hridoy was the biggest star of this series. He was selected as ‘Player of the Series’. Hridoy scored 84 runs in two innings and moved up two places to number 37 in the rankings for T20 batsmen. Team captain Liton Das also made slight improvement. He moved up one place after scoring 26 runs in the last match played in Mirpur.

Talking about Indian players, Abhishek Sharma still remains the number-1 T20 batsman. The special thing is that he has not played any international match since March 9, yet his top ranking remains intact. Ishan Kishan is in second place and he is behind Abhishek by just four points. Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan is in third place, with 23 points less than Kishan.

Bangladesh has also gained in the ranking of bowlers. Mahedi Hasan has moved up one place to No. 17, while Shoriful Islam has made the biggest jump. He gained nine places to reach 54th position.

Changes were also seen in New Zealand players. Ben Sears has moved up 10 places to 51st. Whereas Ish Sodhi has moved up four places to joint 88th position. Sodhi also made a big record in his name during this period. He has become New Zealand’s highest wicket taker in T20 International. He left Tim Southee (164 wickets) behind by taking 165 wickets.

Apart from this, there have also been some changes in the ODI rankings. After the tri-series played between Nepal, Oman and UAE, Oman opener Jatinder Singh moved up seven places to reach 65th position. His teammate Shakeel Ahmed jumped nine places to 31st in the bowlers’ rankings.

Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airi also performed brilliantly and moved up 12 places to 31st in the all-rounder rankings. Overall, this time’s ranking has seen the dominance of players from Asian teams.
