Maruti Suzuki is known to be working on a facelift to the hot-selling Brezza SUV. It has already been spotted testing multiple times and is expected to get minor styling tweaks and notable improvements to the cabin. In the latest turn of events, the facelifted Brezza has been spied along with another vehicle that looks like an MPV. This ‘mystery MPV’ can either be the new Ertiga or the YMC.
In the video shared by ‘Hemant On Road’, we see two heavily camouflaged test mules driving along a marked section of what looks like a highway. The Brezza mule is seen following the other one. The rear end of the facelifted Brezza is visible in this clip.Camouflage on the car limits our ability to handpick the changes. However, we expect the tail lamps to come with fresh detailing. The rear bumper may be revised as well.
As the video progresses, we also get to see the side view of the SUV. No big change can be seen there. However, we do know that the refreshed model will come with new alloy wheels, thanks to previous sightings. At the front, the facelifted model is expected to get a slightly redesigned bumper, updated LED lighting signatures and maybe even a redesigned grille section.
Changes inside will focus on elevating the overall cabin experience. The upcoming Brezza will get a larger touchscreen instead of the current model’s 9-inch unit. A 10.1-inch unit is likely, as the same can be found in newer models like the Victoris and eVitara.
It will also get wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The dashboard layout will see minor revisions and the trims and colours may improve as well. Another expected change is a new instrument cluster. Maruti Suzuki may also add features like ventilated seats to the package as these are becoming increasingly common in vehicles of this segment.
The new Brezza is expected to get a new engine option- the Fronx-sourced 1.0L turbocharged petrol. It will likely be offered alongside the outgoing model’s 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and CNG options. The CNG version may also see the addition of an underbody CNG tank. In the coming years, we may also see the introduction of a low-cost series hybrid setup. Those details remain unconfirmed at the time of writing.
The Brezza continues to be a strong performer in sales, despite its age. The upcoming update will keep it fresh and give the monthly numbers a boost.
In this video, the Brezza is seen following what looks like an MPV. The vehicle has heavy camouflage on and is driving at a distance. No clear visual clue of its nature or design can be had from this video. From whatever is visible, it appears to be an MPV with a modern design.
That brings two names to the stage- YMC electric MPV and the new Ertiga facelift. The Ertiga facelift, expected to launch in late 2026, will likely have major visual differences from the model that is currently on sale. It may be almost the same size as the mule seen here.

The second and the more probable option is the YMC electric MPV. It will be Maruti Suzuki’s second all-electric product after the eVitara. When launched, it will compete with models like the Kia Carens Clavis EV. It is expected to have a futuristic styling- something that we can relate this mule to, and will come feature-packed.
YMC is of course a codename. This EV will be based on the same Heartect-e platform that underpins the eVitara. Details of its battery packs aren’t known yet. The sizes may be comparable to those of the eVitara. We expect this electric MPV to launch in late 2026 or early 2027.
