How much did prices increase today?

On Tuesday, gold prices on MCX closed at Rs 149,838 per 10 grams. Silver closed at Rs 244,420 per kg. Compared to yesterday’s closing rates, today gold prices have increased by Rs 1,971 per 10 grams, while silver prices have increased by Rs 6,079 per kg.

Reasons for the rise in gold and silver prices

Today, the bullish trend is clearly visible in both global and domestic commodity markets. The main reason behind this surge is the emerging signs of reducing tension in the Middle East. Notably, US President Donald Trump has expressed his intention to negotiate a final agreement with Iran to end the ongoing conflict.

In this direction, he has not only stopped the planned military attacks, but has also put a temporary halt on the “Freedom Project”. This was an initiative designed to facilitate the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz. Due to this development, crude oil prices have fallen and the broader commodity market has strengthened.
