Preparations for the formation of the new government in West Bengal have intensified, the swearing-in ceremony is being finalized, Chief Ministers of 20 states including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will participate in the program. The program will be held on May 9 at the Brigade Parade Ground. Before this, on May 8, the name of the leader in the legislative party will be chosen, i.e. the name of the Chief Minister will be decided.
West Bengal BJP President Samik Bhattacharya, while talking to news agency ANI, said that the legislature party meeting has been organized on May 8 at 4 pm. Home Minister Amit Shah will be present in this meeting as a central observer along with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Manjhi as an assistant observer.
BJP President said that a swearing-in ceremony will be organized on this land of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on May 9 at 10 am in which the Chief Minister and his government will take oath. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, National President Nitin Nabin and Chief Ministers of 20 states will participate in the program.
Samik Bhattacharya said that the swearing-in ceremony will be organized at the Brigade Parade Ground. Padma Award winners, cricketers, players of other sports, eminent persons of the society and eminent people from all walks of life will be invited.
On the question of Mamata Banerjee’s insistence on not resigning, the BJP State President said that the tenure of the present government is ending on May 7, and after that a new government will be formed, the new Chief Minister will take oath, what should happen in such a situation, this is the provision in the Constitution, here everything will be within the ambit of the Constitution.
Post-election violence, TMC’s internal discord
On the post-poll violence, he said, “We have spoken to the Home Secretary, DGP and CP. We will end it. This is TMC’s internal strife. They are making their internal strife public by taking BJP flags. They are attacking each other. We knew this was bound to happen.”
