Snooker legends Stephen Hendry and Steve Davis miss out on the top five spots in the sport's all-time prize money list. The pair enjoyed illustrious careers, with Hendry securing seven world titles and Davis winning the World Snooker Championship on six occasions, but both earned less than other star names.
Davis dominated at the Crucible throughout the 1980s, reaching eight world finals, and ended his career with 28 ranking titles. The 68-year-old retired in 2016, with CueTracker calculating his total prize money at £5.6million. Davis sits 10th on the all-time list, four places below Hendry. The Scotsman shares a world title record with Ronnie O'Sullivan but narrowly misses out on a top-five spot in the money list. Having won 36 ranking titles, Hendry earned an impressive £8.8m but that remains significantly less than some of his peers, including O'Sullivan.
CueTracker lists 'The Rocket' as the sport's biggest earner of all-time. O'Sullivan, who has triumphed at 41 ranking events, has received £15.1m in prize money, which is £4m more than his nearest rival.
Despite O'Sullivan dominating the rich list, several other players have accumulated vast wealth through the sport. Fellow Class of '92 icon John Higgins sits in second place as the 50-year-old has amassed a huge £11.1m in prize money.

Current world No.1 Judd Trump takes fourth place with £10m, closely followed by four-time world champion Mark Selby, who has collected £9.2m in prize money. Mark Williams ensures all three of the famed Class of '92 are in the top five after earning £9m during his career.
While Hendry falls just short of Williams' total, his prize money tally puts him ahead of Neil Robertson, who has collected £8.2m. Meanwhile, recent world championship runner-up Shaun Murphy takes eighth place with £7.1m followed by Mark Allen's £6.1m in prize money.
New world champion Wu Yize collected £500,000 after clinching the title with a dramatic victory over Murphy. The 22-year-old's winnings have boosted him up to 47th on the list, with his career earnings currently sitting at £1.4m.
O'Sullivan has an opportunity to extend his lead on the all-time list as he prepares to enter the World Seniors Championship. 'The Rocket' is set to make his tournament debut on Friday, with the event carrying a £30,000 top prize.
