New Delhi: On the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army shared a video at exactly 1:05 am Thursday to mark the occasion. It was also at 1.05 am on May 7 last year that India hit the first military targets and terror installations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The footage showed some moments from Operation Sindoor.

The operation was launched to retaliate the gruesome terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, where Pakistan-supported militants killed 26 people, mostly Indian tourists.

The Indian Army lauded the mission’s execution and reiterated the country’s stance that those backing terrorism would be tracked down and dealt with strongly.

What the video shows

Dubbing Operation Sindoor a “symbol of national resolve”, the video starts with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech, where he said that India would “find, pursue and destroy terrorists and those aiding them”. The video revisits the harrowing scenes of the Pahalgam attack and then highlights the nine terror camps targeted and destroyed during Operation Sindoor.

The footage later shows behind-the-scenes glimpses of strategic military planning and combat operations carried out during the four-day India-Pakistan confict. It also has visuals of multiple military positions in Pakistan and PoK that were hit by Indian forces during the military stand-off.

Another excerpt from the PM’s address highlights India’s relentless stance against terror. “Terror and dialogue cannot coexist, terror and commerce cannot coexist, and bloodshed and water cannot flow together,” he had said while referring to India’s decision regarding the Indus Water Treaty.

‘India forgets nothing’

In a separate video released on X, the Indian Air Force said, “Justice served. Precise in action, eternal in memory—Operation Sindoor continues. India forgets nothing-India forgives nothing.”

Within only 25 minutes, Indian forces destroyed all nine terror facilities situated across Pakistan and PoK. The operation targeted installations linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen, and more than 100 militants were killed in the operation.
