Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will attend the Joint Commanders Conference to be held in Jaipur, Rajasthan on 7-8 May. Military commanders will also give information here on the current situation one year after Operation Sindoor.
Let us tell you that Operation Sindoor is considered a symbol of India’s strong will and military capability, in which precise and decisive action was seen. This Commanders’ Conference is based on the theme ‘Military Capability in New Areas’. Here senior military officers will focus on the changing nature of modern warfare and the future challenges. Here there will be discussion on new dimensions of modern war. There will be an in-depth discussion on the changing nature of modern war in the conference.
According to the Defense Ministry, today’s war has gone beyond traditional boundaries and has become technology-based and more complex. Special focus will be given to emerging challenges in new areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Unmanned Systems and Cyber, Space and Cognitive Warfare. Through this platform, a framework will be decided for military capacity development in these new areas, strategy formulation and preparing a capable and strong military force for the future.
Emphasis will be laid on self-reliance and indigenization for military preparedness. Promoting self-reliance and indigenization in defense production will be prominent on the agenda of the conference. Under this, emphasis is being laid on promoting innovation, strengthening the domestic defense industry and increasing civil-military coordination.
According to defense experts, self-reliance in defense production is necessary so that the country can develop a strong defense ecosystem. State-of-the-art and futuristic technologies developed by the defense forces will also be showcased during the conference. Also, documents to new doctrines and operational strategies to future warfare will be issued.
Meanwhile, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh met Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang in New Delhi on Wednesday. In this meeting, emphasis was laid on further strengthening the defense cooperation between the two countries.
After the meeting, the Defense Minister said that India and Vietnam have had strong relations for a long time. Recent developments reflect positive progress in bilateral cooperation. He also expressed hope to further deepen this strategic partnership in the future.
