New Zealand tour of England: New Zealand has announced the team for the Test series to be played on the England tour. The names of Jacob Duffy and Michael Bracewell are included among the New Zealand players who have opted out of the Test series played on the England tour for the sake of their wives and children. Michael Bracewell also now wants to spend more time with his wife and children. For this he has decided to distance himself from the test format. Santner was not selected due to injury

Ben Sears has been included as a reserve player for the England tour. He has not been a part of New Zealand's main team for the Test series against England because he is part of the Test team selected against Ireland.
