Petrol Diesel Rate Today: After the announcement of election results in West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry on May 7, petrol and diesel prices remained stable in major cities of India. Fuel prices remain stable while global oil prices are witnessing a huge surge due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia. Today petrol and diesel rates remained unchanged in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi and other cities.
According to media reports, due to the rise in global crude oil prices, prices of petrol and diesel may increase by ₹ 5 per liter. Reports suggest that government fuel sellers may increase the prices of petrol and diesel in the coming days, to compensate for the increasing losses due to selling fuel below cost. According to media reports, the prices of domestic LPG cylinders are also likely to increase by ₹ 40-50.
