NEET UG 2026 Answer Key: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key for the NEET UG 2026 examination. Candidates who appeared for the exam can visit the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, to download the answer key, cross-check their responses, and estimate their probable scores. The NTA will also upload the scanned OMR sheets of the candidates to the website shortly. Additionally, candidates will be provided with an opportunity to raise objections against the provisional answer key.
The agency has stated that the dates for uploading the OMR sheets and initiating the challenge process will be announced separately. The NEET UG 2026 examination was conducted on May 3, 2026, at various examination centers across India and abroad. The released provisional answer key PDF lists the question numbers along with their correct answer options, enabling candidates to easily calculate their probable scores.
NEET UG 2026: How to Download the NEET UG Answer Key?
First, visit the official website: neet.nta.nic.in.
Click on the "NEET UG 2026 Provisional Answer Key" link located on the homepage.
Now, enter your Application Number and Password/Date of Birth.
Enter the Security Pin displayed on the screen and log in.
Upon logging in, the provisional answer key will appear on the screen.
Download the answer key and take a printout for future reference.
Raise Objections to the Answer Key
If a candidate has an objection regarding a specific answer or identifies an error in the answer key, they may submit a challenge in accordance with the prescribed procedure. To do so, candidates must click on the relevant question number and upload the necessary supporting documents to substantiate their claim. All objections will be reviewed by an expert committee, following which the final answer key will be prepared.
Negative Marking in the Exam
Regarding the marking scheme, 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer, while 1 mark will be deducted (negative marking) for each incorrect answer. No marks will be awarded for unanswered questions. Based on this marking scheme, students can estimate their probable scores.
