Princess Catherine and Prince William are reportedly eyeing up a £59k-a-year school with a jazz orchestra for Prince George. The young royal is set to celebrate his 13th birthday in July, which means he will be moving schools starting from September.

George currently attends Lambrook School, a school located a short distance from the family's home, Forest Lodge. Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, eight, are also students at the Berkshire-based school.

Catherine and William are said to be considering Oundle School in Northamptonshire for their eldest son, which was founded in 1556 and has a beekeeping club.

According to The Sun, a source said: "William and Kate's visit was terribly exciting.

"They are considering other schools, but people in Oundle have their fingers crossed that George will be starting here in September.

"The town would be proud as punch if he attends school here."

The boarding school, which also boasts a pipe band, is described by the Good Schools Guide as having "delectable Jane Austen-style architecture without the accompanying floppy-haired entitlement".

The school also counts the likes of rugby World Cup winner Danny Grewcock and the former England cricketer John Crawley among their alumni.

Eton College has also been considered by the couple for George, as well as Catherine's former school, Marlborough College.

Oundle, which is 100 miles from Forest Lodge, also allows girls to attend - meaning that Charlotte and Louis could also both attend if George does.
