With this update, several Galaxy AI features—which were previously rolled out exclusively with the Galaxy S26 series—are now becoming available on older flagship devices as well. This update is currently reaching Galaxy S25 series users in South Korea, and the rollout is also underway for the Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Update Arrives After Extensive Beta Testing
In a recent report, *Android Authority* noted that the release of the stable One UI 8.5 follows an extensive beta testing cycle, which included 10 beta updates specifically for the Galaxy S25 series. The publication also reported that this stable update has currently been rolled out to beta testers in South Korea as an incremental release, incorporating the April 2026 security patch. The One UI 8.5 update introduces several new Galaxy AI features, first debuted with the Galaxy S26 series. These include Agentic AI tools, Creative Studio, an enhanced Audio Eraser, smarter Bixby interactions, and call screening via Bixby Text Call.
Samsung has also added AI image generation capabilities, AI-powered photo editing via text prompts, and the ability to move objects from one image to another using Photo Assist. The new update also brings fresh features to the camera, such as real-time Log video LUT previews, simultaneous recording from both front and rear cameras, and automatic motion photo detection.
