There's news of great relief for passengers in Ranchi and Jharkhand. The Railway Board has approved a new weekly express train service (18061/18062) between Santragachi and Khatipura (Jaipur) and has also released the timetable.

This train will run with stoppages at many major stations including Tatanagar, Ranchi, Muri, Barwadih, Daltonganj, Dehri on Sone, Prayagraj, thereby establishing direct connectivity between Ranchi and Jaipur.

Dates to be announced soon. As per the released timetable, 18061 Santragachi-Khatipura Express will depart Santragachi every Wednesday at 14:15 hrs.

This train will reach Bandikui at 21:45/21:47 hrs the next day via Tatanagar at 17:50/17:55 hrs, Ranchi at 22:50/23:05 hrs, Tori at 01:30/01:32 hrs and finally reach Khatipura (Jaipur) at 23:00 hrs. In return direction 18062 Khatipura – Santragachi Express will leave Khatipura every Friday at 09:20 hrs.

This train will reach Santragachi at 19:45 hrs after stopping at Bandikui at 10:38/10:40 hrs, Tori at 08:48/08:50 hrs (next day), Ranchi at 10:45/11:00 hrs, Tatanagar at 15:05/15:10 hrs.

According to the railway, this train will operate weekly and will be equipped with modern LHB coaches. With the launch of this service, passengers will no longer need to change trains in other cities to reach Jaipur.

This facility will be particularly beneficial for students, businessmen, and people of Rajasthan origin. Previously, a Ranchi-Ajmer special train was introduced, but the new service is considered more effective as a regular and direct connection.

The release of the timetable for the Ranchi-Santragachi-Tatanagar-Jaipur train service via Ranchi is a major achievement. This will provide direct and systematic connectivity to Jharkhand passengers.
