Sanjay Dutt Also Appeared Before The CommissionBefore Nora Fatehi’s appearance, Sanjay Dutt had also appeared before the National Commission for Women regarding the same KD: The Devil song controversy. The actor submitted a written apology and expressed regret over any unintended offence caused by the song.
As part of the corrective steps discussed during the hearing, Sanjay Dutt committed to sponsoring the education of 50 tribal girl children. He also reportedly assured the Commission that projects associated with him in the future would go through stricter legal scrutiny to avoid similar concerns related to the portrayal of women and children.
NCW’s Stand On The IssueNCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar had earlier stated that the dignity of women should never be compromised in the name of creativity. During the hearings, the Commission reportedly questioned those associated with the song about accountability, awareness, and the intent behind the song’s content.
