Just before the third rain delay at the Ekana Stadium on May 07, the Australian batter Mitchell Marsh scored his second IPL century, representing the Lucknow Super Giants against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. His first century came when he played for the same side in 2025 against the Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad.
Today he scored his 100th run in 49 balls, hitting a boundary off Sherfane Shepherd, moving to 101.

Marsh records fastest century for LSG
Before Mitchell Marsh reached his century, he had already scored his IPL career's fastest half-century, which he got in just 20 balls. However, with the 49-ball century, he became the fastest centurion for LSG in terms of ball counts.
He broke the previous record of a 54-ball century done by Captain Rishabh Pant, who did this last year against the same opponent on the same ground.
