Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have sent royal fans into a frenzy in a new photograph posted by their mum Meghan Markle on Wednesday. To celebrate Prince Archie's seventh birthday, The Duchess of Sussex posted two photographs on Instagram.

One photograph showed Prince Harry with a sleeping Archie on his chest, taken in 2019. Another photograph showed Archie walking across sand with his sister Princess Lilibet by his side.

The caption read: "7 years later...happy birthday to our sweet boy."

The photograph was met with plenty of reaction online, with many royal fans on X quick to point out how sweet the relationship seems to be between siblings Archie and Lilibet.

One fan wrote on X: "Big brother Archie looks so protective of his little sis Lili."

Another said: "Beautiful photo of Archie with Lilibet. I like how Archie is looking after his little sister. Both are growing up fast."

Someone else commented: "Archie is such a sweet loving protective older brother!! I adore these tiny glimpses of Archie with his little sister Lilibet!"

Another fan said: "They seem very close, so nice to see."

It is not known how Archie spent his seventh birthday yesterday, however he is likely to have spent it with his nearest and dearest.

It is believed the family would have celebrated at the family's home in Montecito, California.
