Manchester United are reportedly set to debut next season's new home kit during the closing stages of the current campaign. United have just three Premier League matches remaining before the season comes to an end.

Interim head coach Michael Carrick has played a pivotal role in steering United towards Champions League qualification, with a top-five finish in the Premier League secured following last weekend's victory over Liverpool.

United now have three fixtures left to complete the season, after which attention will swiftly turn to the summer transfer window and the appointment of a permanent manager, with it yet to be determined whether Carrick himself will be given serious consideration for the role.

A report from the Manchester Evening News has suggested that United will wear next season's new Adidas home kit for their final two matches of the campaign.

Following their trip to the Stadium of Light to take on Sunderland this weekend, United will then welcome Nottingham Forest to Old Trafford on May 17.

It is this fixture that could see United unveiled in their 2026/27 home strip, should the report prove correct. United will then round off the season away at Brighton's Amex Stadium on May 24, where the new home kit could once again be worn.

United agreed a 10-year extension with Adidas back in 2023 to continue the kit partnership, in a deal reported to be worth in the region of £900million. United's Champions League qualification will also reportedly earn the club an additional £10million from the sports manufacturing giants.

Snapdragon are likewise expected to remain as United's front-of-shirt sponsor, with Qualcomm Technologies holding a £60million-per-season arrangement with the Red Devils that runs through to 2029.

With just three matches remaining in the season, speculation surrounding Carrick's future in the Old Trafford dugout is growing, with the 44 year old having been appointed on an interim basis back in January until the conclusion of the campaign.

Carrick was quizzed about his future ahead of this weekend's fixture against Sunderland, just days after the former Middlesbrough manager steered United into the Champions League.

"Listen, clarity is important," Carrick told reporters on Thursday.

"It was always spoken about towards the end of the season, so nothing has really changed. I'm calm about it, it'll get sorted when it's going to get sorted. It's out of my hands, so we'll see what happens."
