The cinematic duo of director Aditya Dhar and superstar Ranveer Singh has effectively conquered the global box office over the last two years. With the Dhurandhar franchise shattering records and officially entering the elite ₹3,000 crore club, fans have been clamoring for news on a third installment.

While a formal "Part 3" announcement is still under wraps, a cryptic new statement from the producers suggests that the Dhurandhar universe has at least one more major card to play before the year ends.

The franchise has seen a meteoric rise, with each installment outperforming the last:

• Dhurandhar (Part 1): Released in December 2025, it took the world by storm, grossing over ₹1,300 crore.

• Dhurandhar 2: Arriving on March 19, 2026, the sequel surpassed its predecessor with a staggering ₹1,700 crore worldwide. Together, these films have cemented Ranveer Singh's status as a global powerhouse and established Aditya Dhar as a master of the blockbuster scale.

The buzz reached a fever pitch following a recent statement by Jyoti Deshpande, head of Jio Studios (the co-producers alongside Aditya Dhar's B62 Studios).

"We're not done with 'Dhurandhar' yet. Hopefully, we'll have a surprise for audiences by the end of this year. We have something special in store," Deshpande told Bollywood Hungama.

While she stopped short of confirming Dhurandhar 3, the mention of a "surprise by the end of the year" has sparked intense speculation. Industry insiders are debating whether this could be a spin-off, a special digital expansion, or a surprise teaser for a final trilogy-capping chapter.

Part of the franchise's massive appeal lies in its heavy-hitting ensemble cast. While Ranveer Singh anchored both parts with his electrifying performance, the films featured a gallery of veteran talent:

• The Antagonists: Rehman Dacoit dominated the first part, while the second saw a surprising turn from Rakesh Bedi.

• The Powerhouse Cast: The franchise has boasted names like Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun.
