To stake claim to form the government, 118 seats are required in Tamil Nadu. When Vijay presented his claim on Wednesday, the Governor turned him away saying that seats were less and Vijay was turned back again on Thursday also. Kamal Haasan and Prakash Raj question the role of Tamil Nadu Governor on the delay in Vijay taking oath.
Once it was also reported that the two big parties DMK and AIADMK, which Vijay has defeated in Tamil Nadu, are considering the option of forming a government together. However, now the chances of something like this happening have almost ended. But due to the delay in Vijay taking oath, big names like Kamal Haasan and Prakash Raj have raised questions on the role of the Governor of Tamil Nadu.

Prakash Raj, one of the big actors of the South, in a social media post raised questions on the Governor of Tamil Nadu regarding the politics happening with Vijay. He wrote that ‘we may have mutual differences, but the mandate is with Vijay. They have the right to stand in the Assembly and present their claims.

Speaking to India Today, Prakash said that the Governor, who is misbehaving with him, should allow him to form the government. Truth cannot be decided at the Governor’s house, it has to be decided in the Assembly. Why are they doing this, how can they go on a long leave at this time? No one else has claimed to form the government. Vijay has the figures. They are saying that I can prove majority. He should get a chance in the assembly, but he is not being given a chance. Why are they not being given their democratic rights despite the mandate?

Majority is proved in the Assembly, not in Raj Bhavan: Kamal Haasan
Kamal Haasan reminded the rules Tamil cinema icon Kamal Haasan also raised questions on the politics happening with Vijay in a social media post. He also mentioned the Supreme Court decision which became an example for cases like Vijay. Kamal wrote that ‘not inviting Vijay, who won 108 seats, to form the government is an insult to the mandate of the people of Tamil Nadu. He further said that ‘the Supreme Court has clearly said in the S.R. Bommai case. Majority is proved in the Assembly, not in Raj Bhawan. I am not talking about party politics, but about policies made for an Indian citizen. The decision of the people of Tamil Nadu should be respected.

Vijay’s party TVK has won 108 seats in Tamil Nadu. This also includes both the seats where Vijay has won the election. He will have to give up one seat, so his party has 107 seats to form the government. Congress has supported Vijay with its 5 seats, which means they have 112 seats in their account. Political equations are being set for the remaining 6 seats in Tamil Nadu only. Meanwhile, the public and big celebrities who chose Vijay have started raising questions on this entire matter.
