Health Alert in Rising Temperature: Just as we feel before any untoward incident happens in life, in the same way, when a malfunction is about to occur in the natural mechanism of our body, we start feeling some of its symptoms indirectly. These pre-symptoms are called prodromal period. This is the period when our body shows the first signs of being unwell before we become ill. Generally we all ignore it.

What are the initial symptoms of the disease?

The initial symptoms include fatigue, low energy level, body aches and irritability. Even after eating well and getting enough sleep, we feel tired all the time, which we easily ignore. This fatigue is a sign that our body’s immune system is abandoning its normal work and devoting all its energy towards fighting the disease.

AYUSH Ministry warned

Even in this scorching heat, our body is struggling with heat diseases, which we come to know about only after we become completely ill. In view of the scorching heat, the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India has shared information about the signals given by the body to spread awareness.

Due to change in weather, many changes occur in our body also. Such as excessive sweating, nausea or vomiting, muscle cramps or pain, cold and clammy skin, dizziness, severe headache and excessive thirst.

What do health experts say

Health experts say that these are not normal signs. These are so dangerous that they can lead to serious conditions like heat exhaustion or heat stroke. BP and sugar patients need to take special care in this season. To avoid this, one should avoid leaving the house during peak hours of summer (between 10 and 4 pm). Light cotton clothes should be worn. To keep the body hydrated, one should consume maximum number of beverages like 8-10 glasses of water, lemonade, coconut water, lassi and buttermilk. One should eat home-cooked food and avoid fried foods.

Heavy exercise should also be avoided in this blazing heat. Morning walk, yoga and pranayam will be helpful in this season. If you go to the gym daily, you should avoid heavy lifting. In this scorching heat, the elderly, children and already sick people need more attention.
