LSG vs RCB, IPL 2026: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have broke their six-match losing streak as they pulled one back by a narrow margin of nine runs in the IPL 2026 match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Their 3rd win of IPL 2026, getting them two points, has kept them just alive in the hunt for the race for a spot in the playoffs as they consigned the Royal Challengers to their fourth defeat of the season.

LSG vs RCB, IPL 2026: Mitchell Marsh’s belligerent hundred sets the tone for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Having won the toss at the Ekana Stadium, RCB captain Rajat Patidar inserted the home side into bat. While Mitchell Marsh played flawlessly, his opening partner, Arshin Kulkarni struggled to keep up and was eventually dismissed for 17 off 23 deliveries. Despite a couple of rain-forced breaks, Marsh brought up his hundred off only 49 deliveries and eventually departed for 111 to set the tone for the Super Giants. Nicholas Pooran (38) and Rishabh Pant (32) provided the finishing touches to lift their side to 209/3 in 19 overs, with the last over cut down due to rain.

Mohammed Shami and Prince Yadav bowled incisive opening overs with the ball, sending Jacob Bethell (0) and Virat Kohli (0) packing cheaply to jolt the defending champions early. Mayank Yadav bowled thunderbolts to keep the leash on Devdutt Padikkal and Rajat Patidar. However, Patidar cut loose in an outstanding fashion, hammering a fifty off only 26 deliveries. Prince returned for his third over and dismissed Padikkal for 34 straight away and Jitesh Sharma for 1 three deliveries later. After Patidar’s departure for 61, Tim David dished out some lusty blows until his dismissal in an anti-climatic fashion for 40. Krunal Pandya and Romario Shepherd narrowed the equation to a gettable 20 off the final six deliveries. An under-pressure Digvesh Rathi held his nerve to defend 20 against two power-hitters.
