Haryana News: Taking major action against drug smuggling in Nuh district, police have arrested two accused. During the blockade in Firozpur Jhirka area, a huge quantity of drugs were recovered from a pickup vehicle. Police have seized a total of 607 kg 500 grams of poppy seeds from the vehicle, the market value of which is said to be around Rs 1 crore.
Police took immediate action and caught him
According to the information, near village Nasirbas on Delhi-Alwar road, the police team signaled to stop the suspicious pickup. As soon as the vehicle stopped, both the people inside it tried to run away, but the police took immediate action and caught them.
Arrested accused identified
The arrested accused have been identified as Gurdeep Singh, resident of Bhalpur in Alwar district of Rajasthan and Satpal, resident of Mandapur in Naugaon police station area. Initial interrogation revealed that both the accused were taking this consignment of drugs from Rajasthan to Delhi.
During the search, 45 bags filled with onions were found kept on top of the pickup, while poppy seeds were hidden in 30 bags below. After weighing, a total of 607 kg 500 grams of intoxicant was recovered.
Investigation of the gang behind smuggling
According to the police, this consignment was to be supplied in Delhi. A case has been registered after taking possession of the recovered material and vehicle. Also, the identity of other people involved in this entire network and the gang behind the smuggling is being investigated.
