CUET UG Exam 2026: The CUET UG examination, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is scheduled to commence on May 11, 2026. This examination will be conducted across 15 cities in India as well as abroad. The NTA has also issued several key guidelines for candidates ahead of the examination. According to the agency, examinees are permitted to wear clothing or carry items associated with their religious beliefs; however, they must arrive at the examination center in advance to undergo proper frisking and security checks.
The NTA has clarified that the wearing of religious threads, such as the *Kalava* (sacred thread), will be permitted. Nevertheless, it remains mandatory for candidates to report to the center early to facilitate security screening. The agency has advised that wearing light-colored, preferably white, clothing would be advisable. Additionally, candidates are permitted to wear woolen clothing if necessary; however, for this as well, they are required to reach the examination center ahead of the scheduled time.
**Candidates Must Keep the Following Points in Mind:**
All candidates are required to carry, as proof of identity, the specific photo ID that they uploaded in their online application form and which is also printed on their Admit Card. Candidates whose "live photograph" (captured during the application process) did not match the photograph on their Aadhaar card, or those who registered using a different proof of identity, must bring the original copy of the requisite certificate for physical verification to the examination center on the day of the exam.
This certificate must be duly signed and verified by a Principal/Headmaster or any Class-I Gazetted Officer (such as a Tehsildar, Revenue Officer, SDM, DM, or a Class-I Gazetted Officer at an Indian Embassy—for NRI candidates). Furthermore, the format of this certificate must strictly adhere to the specifications outlined in the NTA's Public Notice dated April 07, 2026.
