A thief broke into a Kali temple, but instead of escaping with stolen goods, he unexpectedly fell asleep while gathering items. The thief, under the influence of substances, managed to break the temple's lock, stealing money from the donation box and gold and silver ornaments from the idol of Goddess Sheetala. However, as he attempted to exit with the stolen items, the effects of intoxication and a sedative took over, causing him to doze off right there.

Villagers Discover the Sleeping Thief
On Tuesday morning, villagers noticed the temple door ajar and found a man deeply asleep inside. Upon suspicion, they checked his bag, which was filled with temple items. This shocking discovery alarmed the villagers, prompting them to immediately inform the local police officer, Baleshwar Oraon.

Police Arrest the Thief
Authorities arrived at the scene and apprehended the thief. He has been charged with theft and damage to property, with further legal actions underway. The suspect, identified as Veer Nayak from Tankisai, had consumed a significant amount of alcohol with friends before scaling the temple wall. During the search, police recovered the stolen money from the donation box, the gold and silver jewelry, and the sedative T-10. The thief's intention was to steal the silver ornaments and the money in the donation box, but he ultimately failed to execute his plan.
