UGC NET June 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a crucial announcement for individuals applying for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) scheduled for June 2026. The online registration will remain accessible until 11:50 PM on May 20, 2026. Therefore, candidates who have not yet submitted their applications are encouraged to do so promptly.

**Mandatory Examination Fee Payment**
As per the NTA's guidelines, candidates must accurately complete the online application form and pay the required examination fee. After this, it is essential to download and securely save the confirmation page for future reference.

The NTA has emphasized that the application will only be deemed complete for those who have successfully paid the examination fee. Applications that are incomplete will not be processed.

**No Corrections Allowed Post Fee Payment**
The agency has made it clear that no changes to the application form will be accepted once the fee has been paid. Candidates should ensure that all information is filled out meticulously during the application process.

It is particularly important to double-check details such as the candidate's name, parents' names, social category, PwD status, requirements for a scribe, selected subject, and examination city.

**Application Process Started on April 29**
The application window for UGC NET June 2026 opened on April 29 and will close on May 20. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic, within this timeframe.

The examination is set to take place in Computer-Based Test (CBT) format from June 22 to June 30, covering 85 subjects. Details regarding the examination city will be announced by June 10, and admit cards will be available by June 15, 2026.

The UGC has expanded its list of subjects by adding 'Statistics' and 'Forestry' to the existing disciplines. The syllabi for these new subjects can be found on the official UGC website.
