Vidya Balan recently watched the 25-year-old film *The Last Tenant* and became deeply emotional upon seeing it. This film marked her first collaboration with the late actor Irrfan Khan. The two worked together on this project 25 years ago, but for various reasons, the film was never released. Now, 25 years later, the film is set to be released on YouTube.

**Why Vidya Balan Got Emotional**
Vidya Balan watched *The Last Tenant* for the very first time last night. Watching the film brought back a flood of old memories. She shared a video clip on Instagram, accompanied by a caption that read: "I watched *The Last Tenant* for the first time last night. It was shot 25 years ago, but the film never saw a release. Back then, many films I started working on would begin production only to be shelved later. I had completely forgotten about this film as well."

**The Joy of Working with Irrfan**
Vidya further wrote: "Last week, I received a message from the director, Sarthak Dasgupta, informing me that the film is being released on YouTube. That’s when I recalled how, during the shoot, I had excitedly called my sister, Priya, to tell her how thrilled I was to be working alongside Irrfan Khan."

**Vidya Pens a Special Tribute to Irrfan**
Vidya continued: "Irrfan was the most natural actor there ever was. I felt that very same way again last night. In the wake of Irrfan's passing, I regret that we couldn't do more films together; however, at least we have this film now. Thank you, Sarthak Dasgupta. My dear Capricorn friend, Irrfan—our stars have finally aligned after 25 years."

**Vidya Balan's Work Front**
Vidya Balan recently wrapped up the first schedule of her upcoming film. She will be seen starring alongside Akshay Kumar in this project. Vidya was recently seen in the film *Raja Shivaji*, which was released on May 1st. The film *The Last Tenant* will soon be available on YouTube.
