For fans of indie music in India, May is bringing a dose of nostalgia as Lucky Ali returns to Pune for a live concert on May 16, 2026. The singer, whose songs have quietly travelled across generations, will perform at Mayfield Eva Garden in Kharadi from 5 PM onwards.
Known for tracks such as O Sanam, Safarnama, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum and Ek Pal Ka Jeena, Lucky Ali has remained one of the few Indian artistes whose music continues to resonate equally with listeners who discovered him in the 1990s and younger audiences finding his songs through playlists and social media today.
The concert, expected to host over 6,000 attendees, will be staged in an open-air format, giving fans a rare opportunity to watch the singer perform live. With Ali making limited public appearances over the years, the Pune show is already being seen as a special outing for longtime admirers of his music.
Did you know?
Interestingly, before becoming a cult music icon, Lucky Ali — born Maqsood Mahmood Ali — briefly explored acting and even starred in a few films. However, it was his 1996 debut album Sunoh that changed everything. The album, especially O Sanam, became a defining soundtrack for an entire generation and continues to enjoy a strong afterlife nearly three decades later.
