During the demonstration of TRE-4 candidates in Patna, the ruckus increased when thousands of candidates marching towards the BPSC office were stopped by the police at JP Golambar. The police lathi-charged the candidates who came out on the streets demanding increase in vacancy and recruitment process, in which many students were injured. During the demonstration, a stampede-like situation occurred and slippers, bags and belongings were seen scattered on the road. Some women candidates also accused the police of misbehavior. TRE-4 candidates say that they were protesting peacefully with the dream of becoming teachers, but they were treated like criminals.
