New Delhi: As Thalapathy Vijay is set to an oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, his old marksheet has surfaced on the internet, hinting that he was an “average student” who scored 65 per cent in his Class 10 board exams. His party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam won 108 seats during the Tamil Nadu Assemble elections 2026.
Thalapathy Vijay’s marksheetAccording to a report by News18, the Jana Nayagan actor Thalapathy Vijay scored 711 out of 1,110 marks. His percentage for class 10 board examinations was 65 per cent. Talking about the subject-wise marks, the actor-turned-politician scored 155 out of 200 in Tamil, 133 out of 200 in English, 206 out of 300 in science, and 122 out of 200 in social science. He scored the lowest in mathematics, which is 95 out of 200.
About Vijay’s education and qualificationsVijay completed his schooling in Chennai. He studied at Fathima Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Kodambakkam and later attended Balalok Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Virugambakkam. For higher education, he studied in Loyola College, wher he pursued a degree in Visial Communications. However, he dropped out of college to focus on his acting career in Tamil cinema. Despite not completing his college degree, he went on to become one of the biggest stars in the South Indian film industry and later entered into politics with his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
Vijay on work frontOn the acting front, Vijay is awaiting the release of his film Jana Nayagan. The movie also features Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mamitha Baiju, and others.
