Travel enthusiasts can say farewell to excess baggage charges thanks to a clever 'Sudoku' packing technique. According to TikTok content creator @Georgiaphasey, people will 'never pack their luggage the same way' once they've discovered the 'best packing hack.'

The 'Sudoku' packing method enables holidaymakers to create multiple outfits from just a handful of wardrobe staples. It could prove particularly handy for those who love to vary their looks but are restricted by airline baggage allowances. Following the method also ensures travellers pack sufficient layers, making it equally useful for those heading to destinations with unpredictable weather.

In her video, Georgia explained that the technique involves selecting three tops, three bottoms, and three layers. For example, someone might opt for a coat, a cardigan, and a jumper as their three layers.

Once at their destination, travellers can arrange their items in a 3x3 grid, much like a Sudoku puzzle. Georgia revealed that organising the grid in three rows generates 25 different outfits.

Demonstrating the concept, she told her followers: "You will never pack the same after learning this tip. The Sudoku packing method will give you over 25 outfits with just nine items. Lay out your clothes: top, bottom layer, bottom, layer, top, and layer, top, bottom.

"This will give you ready-made outfits vertically, horizontally, diagonally, multiple combinations in each corners and within different rows. Then add accessories and shoes that will suit different occasions. Here are some examples of the outfits I made, and a bonus tip is to add shirts as your top, so they can double up as a layer to create even more combinations."

Georgia continued: "No more overweight luggage fees. The Sudoku method is the best packing hack." Her video proved popular on the platform, gaining hundreds of likes. Holidaymakers often take to TikTok to share packing tips, reports the Mirror.

Elsewhere, @Sophiecamerondavies shared a different idea. In another popular video, womenswear brand Sophie Cameron Davies said: "If your suitcase is full of floaty dresses, silk pieces or anything remotely crease-prone, try this. No more steaming out wrinkles for half your holiday.

"It's simple, space-saving, and actually works. Save this one - your future self will thank you." As shown in the clip, the method sees holidaymakers fold their garments as few times as possible, ensuring they stay flat within the suitcase.

Sophie explained: "Lay your clothes completely flat, don't roll or overfold. Fill the full width of your suitcase right into the corners, and fold only once or twice max to avoid deep creases. Then just lay each piece on top of the other like a stack. It keeps everything smooth and compact, so simple but game-changing."

Praising the tip, someone said: "I do this but I lay each piece flat hanging from the sides. Lay items on top then flip the sides inwards and secure it." A different comment said: "I use the other side for clothes as it's flat and the side you have put the clothes in I use for toiletries and shoes, swimwear etc .. it works no creases."
