Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly instructed Punjab Kings fast bowler Arshdeep Singh to stop posting vlogs on social media during the ongoing Indian Premier League season.
The move comes after allegations that teammate Yuzvendra Chahal was seen using a vape inside a flight.
According to reports, Arshdeep had recorded a vlog while the Punjab Kings team was travelling from Ahmedabad to Hyderabad. In the video, Chahal was allegedly seen using an e-cigarette inside the aircraft, leading to controversy on social media.
Though neither the player nor the franchise has officially commented on the issue, sources said the BCCI has directed Arshdeep not to upload any more vlogs for the remainder of the tournament.
This is not the first vaping-related controversy in IPL 2026. Recently, Riyan Parag, captain of Rajasthan Royals, was reportedly caught on camera using a vape inside the dressing room during a match against Punjab Kings. He was later fined 25 per cent of his match fee.
Amid increasing incidents involving rule violations during the IPL, the BCCI has reportedly introduced stricter disciplinary measures. The board has sent an eight-page guideline document to IPL franchises and also warned teams about possible honey-trap risks during the tournament.
The BCCI has further stated that surprise inspections will be carried out in dressing rooms to ensure strict compliance with league regulations and operational guidelines.
