KL Rahul achieved another important milestone in his IPL career during the match between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders at Arun Jaitley Stadium in IPL 2026.
Rahul became the first player in IPL history to score more than 1000 runs for three different franchises. He reached the landmark while playing for Delhi Capitals after already scoring over 1000 runs for Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants.
The wicketkeeper-batter has scored 2548 runs for Punjab Kings and 1410 runs for Lucknow Super Giants and more than 1000 runs for Delhi Capitals. This shows Rahul’s consistency across different IPL teams over the years.
Rahul broke another major Delhi Capitals record during the innings. He completed 1000 IPL runs for DC in just 23 innings which is now the fastest by any batter for the franchise. He went past the previous record which JP Duminy and Rishabh Pant both held as they needed 35 innings to reach the mark.
The right-handed batter once again gave Delhi Capitals a strong start at the top. He played attacking shots in the powerplay and scored 23 runs from 14 balls before getting dismissed. Rahul hit four boundaries during his quick innings before Kartik Tyagi picked up his wicket.
