digital desk- After years of political struggle and election turmoil in West Bengal, the leadership picture has finally become clear. Making an official announcement in the BJP Legislature Party meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has named Suvendu Adhikari as the new Chief Minister of West Bengal. Along with him, Agnimitra Paul and Nisith Pramanik have been given the responsibility of Deputy Chief Minister (Deputy CM). Addressing the legislative party, Amit Shah expressed his gratitude to the people of Bengal. He said, “Amidst the bloody rule and widespread violence of the Left and TMC, the public has expressed confidence in PM Modi and given a resounding mandate. With folded hands, I thank the people of Bengal for this victory.” Giving a strong message, Shah said that now the ‘Katmani System’ will end in Bengal and criminals will never be able to become leaders under BJP rule. He remembered the martyrdom of 321 BJP workers who were martyred during the elections, calling them ‘godlike’.

Direct attack on Rahul Gandhi and India alliance

In his address, Amit Shah took on Congress and Rahul Gandhi. He said that ‘India’ alliance is disintegrating due to Rahul Gandhi’s immaturity and negative politics. Shah said, “Congress is no longer able to win the elections, hence it has resorted to defaming EVMs and the electoral process.”

He cornered Congress through figures:

  • Tamil Nadu: Congress has not become a CM since 1967.
  • West Bengal: Congress has been out of power for 49 years.
  • Gujarat and Bihar: The losing streak has been going on for 30 and 36 years respectively. Shah sarcastically asked whether ‘vote theft’ had taken place in these states too? He made it clear that Congress needs to ‘introspect’ before its defeat.

Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s dream came true

Becoming emotional, the Home Minister said that the ideological journey that started in 1950 under the leadership of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee has been successful today. He told that after the removal of Article 370, the workers had said that the flag is yet to be hoisted in Bengal. Shah said, today a government based on his ideology is being formed at the birthplace of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. Wherever he is, he will be blessing PM Modi.

Goal: Reconstruction of ‘Sonar Bangla’

Handing over the responsibility to the newly elected MLAs and the Chief Minister, Amit Shah said that our aim is to free Bengal from the influence of foreign ideologies. He reiterated his resolve that the new government will build ‘Sonar Bangla’ as envisioned by Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Vivekananda, Maharishi Aurobindo and Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore.
