Ghaziabad: The investigation into the fire incident that broke out in six flats in Gaur Green Avenue Society located in Abhay Khand is still going on. After this accident that occurred on April 29, the committee constituted by the DM has prepared its report, but the exact cause of the fire has not been revealed. After preliminary investigation ruled out possibilities like short circuit and gas cylinder explosion, the need for a thorough investigation is felt in the matter.

Investigation report ready, but reason still not clear

Even nine days after the fire incident that broke out on April 29 in Gaur Green Avenue Society located in Abhay Khand, Ghaziabad, the administration has not been able to find the exact reason. The investigation committee formed after the accident has prepared its report and it can be submitted to the District Magistrate on Friday. Further action will be decided on the basis of the report.

Six flats were gutted in the incident. Initial investigation revealed that there was neither a short circuit nor any situation like explosion in the gas cylinder at the time of the fire. In such a situation, the reason for which the fire spread still remains the main subject of investigation.

Accident or conspiracy? Focus on many aspects

Now it is also being investigated at the administrative level whether the matter was just an accident or there could be some other reason behind it. The investigation team has reviewed several technical and security aspects. Officials believe that a detailed technical investigation may be required to reach the exact cause.

There is concern about the incident among the people living in the society. Due to the rapid spread of the fire and many flats being affected, questions are being raised on the security arrangements.

Illegal construction also came to light in the society

During the inspection, the investigation committee also found indications of construction work going on in the society premises contrary to the map. This aspect has also been mentioned in the report. It is believed that the administration can now take separate action regarding illegal construction and fire safety standards.

On April 30, the DM had constituted a committee under the chairmanship of GDA Secretary Vivek Mishra. The committee was instructed to submit its report in three days, but considering the seriousness of the matter, the scope of investigation was increased.
