The person whom the world knows today as ‘Ravi Pandit’ was originally named ‘Shasishekhar’. Ravi was a gold medalist in his Chartered Accountancy studies. He further pursued his technical education at MIT Solan. This unique confluence of technology and knowledge earned him a fellowship from the Indian National Science Academy; And then he acquired doctorate degrees from the universities of Coventry, Amity, TVM and EMB.
The goal is to fulfill his father’s dreams
In an interview, Ravi Pandit said that his father was working in the firm ‘Alexander Grant’ in Chicago. When his father returned to India, his annual income was only Rs 15,000; In contrast, Ravi’s annual tuition fee at MIT was a whopping Rs.1 lakh. Due to this reason, they had to take loans to cover their education expenses. Later, in 1956, his father established an organization called ‘Kirtane & Pandit’, which employed 12 employees. His father’s dream was that his son should start a company that would become a global name due to his work. It was with this ambition that Ravi took over the reins of ‘Kirtane & Pandit Chartered Accountants’ KPCA while running his own technology company and transformed it into India’s largest Professional Services Firm.
The foundation of the company was laid 36 years ago
In 1990, Ravi along with his partner Kishore Patil founded ‘KPIT’ a company dedicated to providing software-based solutions to companies in the automotive and mobility sector. Today, the company operates its business in 15 countries around the world, including Europe, Asia, the Americas, Japan, China, Thailand and India. The company’s client list includes industry giants such as BMW, Ford, Honda and General Motors. The company’s main focus is on providing solutions with the help of software, AI and digital technologies. Today, the company has established itself as one of the largest solutions providers to the global automotive industry.
Efforts to realize the Government’s approach
Ravi Pandit was currently working on a very important government project; He was the only person selected by the government from the private sector for this campaign. During that time, Ravi was actively involved in the ‘National Green Hydrogen Mission’. Moreover, they have played a very important role in determining the civil and environmental policies of the country. He was also the co-founder of ‘Pune International Centre’ and ‘Janvani’; He has also played a valuable role in various organizations dedicated to civic administration and public policy.
