Finn Allen played one of the best attacking knocks of IPL 2026 as Kolkata Knight Riders dominated Delhi Capitals at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

The New Zealand batter completely changed the game with fearless hitting during KKR’s chase. Allen attacked almost every Delhi Capitals bowler and never allowed them to settle into the match.

The 13th over against young spinner Vipraj Nigam marked the most important moment of his innings. Allen smashed three consecutive sixes to leave the crowd stunned and put KKR on the verge of victory.

The first six came over long-off after Allen got under a slightly fuller delivery. Allen pulled the ball over deep midwicket for another maximum after he moved back to face the shorter delivery from Vipraj.

Allen used his confidence to hit the third delivery over long-off after Vipraj changed his length again. The over completely shifted the match in KKR’s favour.

Allen looked in complete control throughout the innings. He mixed power with smart placement and punished every loose delivery from the DC bowlers.

The 14th over ended with Allen remaining not out on 94 runs after facing 46 balls which included five fours and nine sixes. Delhi Capitals failed to stop his attacking batting after he achieved a strike rate above 200.

KKR move close to easy win in Delhi

Kolkata Knight Riders made the chase look very simple after getting strong starts from their top order. Captain Ajinkya Rahane scored 13 runs from 9 balls before getting run out by Mitchell Starc.

Young batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi could score only one run before Axar Patel dismissed him. Allen maintained his attacking style while he formed a solid partnership with Cameron Green. Green remained unbeaten on 32 runs from 26 balls and supported Allen well during the chase.

The match reached a point where KKR needed only three runs from 36 balls to win comfortably after they reached 140/2 in 14 overs. The Delhi bowlers struggled badly especially during the middle overs. Vipraj Nigam gave away 34 runs in two overs while Kuldeep Yadav leaked 41 runs in his three overs. Axar Patel bowled four overs and achieved 1/27 figures which made him the only bowler to maintain some control over the game.

Finn Allen’s powerful innings and his hat-trick of sixes will surely become one of the biggest highlights of IPL 2026.
