A grand golden statue of Donald Trump was revealed this week at his golf course in Doral, during a ceremony led by Evangelical pastor Mark Burns. This impressive 22-foot sculpture, set on a pedestal surrounded by palm trees, captures Trump with his fist raised, reminiscent of his reaction following an assassination attempt in Butler. The statue was adorned with white and blue fabric resembling a Greek toga as numerous attendees gathered for the event.

During the dedication, Burns, a close ally of Trump and member of 'Pastors for Trump,' addressed the audience, dismissing any comparisons of the statue to idol worship. He stated on social media, 'Let me be clear: this is not a golden calf. This statue is a celebration of life. It symbolizes resilience, freedom, patriotism, strength, and the determination to fight for America's future.' He also referred to the statue as a testament to what he believes is God's protection over Trump following several assassination attempts.

At one point in the ceremony, Burns held his phone to the microphone, allowing attendees to hear a message from Trump himself. 'I want to thank Mark Burns, a pastor, he’s a good pastor, he’s a good man,' Trump expressed. 'I’ve known him a long time, he’s been with me from the beginning.'

The statue, which measures 15 feet in height on a 7-foot base, was commissioned by a group of cryptocurrency investors promoting the memecoin $PATRIOT. Sculptor Alan Cottrill mentioned that he crafted the bronze figure for $300,000 and later proposed covering it in gold leaf. Cottrill claimed he stored the statue in a warehouse until full payment was received, while the investors contended that the payment had already been completed. This installation is among several Trump-themed statues that have emerged in recent months, including protest artworks near the US Capitol.
