The Maruti Suzuki Eeco is one of the most quietly successful vehicles in the market. In April 2026 it sold 13,087 units. In March it moved 11,333. Month after month, without significant media attention, it maintains volumes that many more celebrated products would trade their launch events for. Now Maruti has launched an Eeco Star Edition, a bundled accessories package priced at Rs 19,999 above the standard Eeco’s ex-showroom price.
The base Eeco starts at Rs 5.18 lakh and goes up to Rs 6.36 lakh depending on variant and seating configuration. The Star Edition brings 18 accessories into the package, making the starting price Rs 5.21 lakh for the entry variant with the bundle included. That is a meaningful improvement in visual appeal relative to the plain-spec Eeco, for a price premium that is genuinely modest.
The bundle covers a rear spoiler for a sportier profile at the back, fog lamps with surrounds, an interior styling kit, seat covers, stylish wheel covers, a chrome emblem, door visors, and a mud flap set.
These are all appearance and light functional additions rather than mechanical or safety upgrades. None of them change the way the Eeco drives, but they make it look more finished than the bare-bones version that most buyers currently see on the road.
The important clarification is that these accessories are applied at the dealer level, not factory-fitted. Maruti has not confirmed whether the Star Edition bundle is available across all Eeco variants or restricted to specific ones. What is confirmed is the Rs 19,999 premium and the 18-item list.

The Eeco has an unusual buyer split. It sells heavily into the commercial segment, covering school vans, shared cabs, and business transport. But Maruti wants more private family buyers.
The Star Edition is explicitly aimed at that segment. A slightly more styled, accessory-loaded Eeco is a more convincing proposition for a family considering the vehicle as their primary car rather than a utility tool.
The fuel efficiency figure also supports that case. The Eeco delivers 26.78 km per litre on the ARAI cycle, making it one of the most efficient six or seven-seaters available at this price.
For a family doing daily school runs, office commutes, and weekend travel from a single vehicle, the combination of low price, strong mileage, and a more presentable appearance through the Star Edition is a coherent package.
The Eeco has no direct competitor at its price point. No other manufacturer currently makes a six or seven-seater van at under Rs 6.5 lakh. The Eeco began life a couple of decades ago, as the Maruti Versa.
It was meant to be an upmarket passenger van for those upgrading from the Omni. However, it failed to take off. Maruti then gave it a massive price cut by replacing the G13B engine with a new 1.2 liter petrol engine, which helped it get sub-4 meter car excise benefits. Ever since, the rear wheel driven Eeco has been a mega hit in its segment.
