Shani Jayanti 2026 Remedies: This year, Shani Jayanti falls on Saturday, May 16th. Lord Shani was born on the day of Jyeshtha Amavasya (the New Moon in the month of Jyeshtha). Since Jyeshtha Amavasya falls on a Saturday—May 16th—this year, a special auspicious conjunction known as 'Shani Amavasya' is also formed. The occurrence of Shani Jayanti on Shani Amavasya is considered extremely auspicious and highly fruitful. If you wish to seek Lord Shani's blessings, you may feed a *roti* (flatbread) to a black dog or offer small balls of flour to fish; these acts, too, are believed to yield beneficial results.
