Rajasthan Laboratory Assistant Recruitment: The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board is conducting the Laboratory Assistant recruitment examination on May 9 and 10. Approximately 922,000 candidates are expected to appear for this recruitment examination. The Board has completed all necessary preparations for the exam. Additionally, details regarding the prescribed dress code for this session—as well as the items strictly prohibited inside the examination centers—have been announced.
The Board has made changes to four examination centers specifically for the exam scheduled on May 9; this information was confirmed by the Board Chairman. The changes affect four centers located in Bhilwara and Beawar. The Board has issued an appeal to candidates who currently hold admit cards listing the old centers to re-download their admit cards to obtain the details of their new examination centers.
**Examination Schedule (Subject-wise)**
The Board has announced that the examination on May 9 will be conducted in a single shift, while the examination on May 10 will be held in two shifts. On May 9, the Geography examination will be conducted from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Meanwhile, on May 10, the Science examination will be held in two shifts: from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Approximately 400,000 candidates are registered for the Geography subject, while around 522,000 candidates are registered for the Science subject.
**Dress Code and Regulations**
The Board has issued specific guidelines regarding the dress code for the examination. Candidates are strictly prohibited from carrying any metal objects into the examination center. Entry will be granted to all candidates only after the completion of biometric verification. However, candidates will be permitted to wear religious symbols—such as *Kalava* (sacred thread), *Janeu* (sacred thread), *Rudraksha*, or *Kanthi* (beaded necklaces)—provided they do not contain any metal components. Female candidates are permitted to wear simple, thin glass bangles.
