Today is the 165th birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. On this special occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to him. Subhendu Adhikari was also with him. Both the leaders garlanded the picture of Gurudev at the historic Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata. The swearing-in ceremony of the BJP government took place on this ground today in West Bengal, where Subhendu Adhikari took oath as the ninth Chief Minister.

The new Chief Minister of West Bengal, Subhendu Adhikari is also unmarried. Will 57 year old Subhendu live his life alone? Will he not marry? This question has been asked to him many times. About six years ago, he broke his silence on this. He had said in a gathering regarding his marriage, 'Many people ask, Shubhendu, why have you not married yet? Are your brothers married?

This is from December 2020, when while giving a speech in a public meeting, he said, 'In the eyes of today's leaders, I am not unmarried. Shubhendu's family is not a small family, consisting of five, seven or eight members. Shubhendu's family is a Bengali family. One has to sacrifice everything for the society, this is what my idols Satish Samant and Sushil Dhara used to say. Following his path, I have decided to remain unmarried.

Many big leaders of the country were present in this program held at Brigade Ground today. Not only were Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah present, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP national president Nitin Naveen also attended.

Apart from these, Chief Ministers of many states had also arrived. These include Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Governor R.N. Ravi was also present in the program.
