Helen Skelton has offered a rare insight into her 'relationship' with Gethin Jones. The hugely popular TV and radio presenter was romantically linked to BBC host Gethin last year, with the pair reportedly enjoying dates at a luxury spa. Helen parted ways with rugby player Richie Myler in 2022 - the father of her children - and speculation has been rife regarding a potential romance with Gethin, after the two were photographed looking close at the Daily Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards last year, where they embraced and leaned into one another on the red carpet. However, Helen has firmly dismissed reports of a blossoming romance between herself and Gethin. When quizzed about how Gethin was getting on and whether the pair had been enjoying further romantic outings, Helen, who recently relocated to her home county of Cumbria to live on her parents' dairy farm, said: "No. Well, he's in Manchester working away, so yeah, no, all good."

She was also adamant that the two are nothing more than 'work friends' and have always been so. "We just work together, we are not together. No, no, no. We are just work friends. They printed pictures of us at work and that we're together because we are at work together."

Gethin and Helen have been close friends and colleagues for many years. Last year, the pair took on Gethin and Helen's Wheely Big Challenge - a gruelling 24-hour roller-skating marathon in support of Comic Relief, which they feared could put their friendship under strain. Gethin revealed: "What's different this time is that we have each other. We're best friends. We're very honest with one another," reported the Mirror.

During an appearance on Morning Live today, Gethin also publicly commented on his and Helen's reported romance. The presenter was interviewing Christine McGuinness about her Situationships podcast.

As author Sophie Gravia and Christine opened up about their own love lives, one remarked about having been single for a considerable period, prompting Gethin to swiftly interject with "join the club", apparently confirming that he too is unattached.

BBC Morning Live presenter and Countryfile host Helen recently stepped down from her Sunday morning BBC Radio 5 Live show to focus on being a mother, yet hasn't dismissed the prospect of remarrying or welcoming another child. The 44-year-old said: "It's not something I've thought about really. I don't know - I just take each day as it comes. I know that's boring but..."

However, as a busy mother of three, balancing parenthood, her career and the farm, she dismissed reports that she had embarked on a new romance and was going on dates, saying: "Again, I just take each day as it comes, nothing more to say on that."

And she disclosed that she hadn't believed her ideal partner even existed. "I don't know if they've made him yet!" she quipped. Despite the absence of a man in her life, for Helen, "life's good. My kids are good full on fun so I can't complain at all."

Speaking at the TV Choice awards, the presenter shared her favourite aspect of motherhood: "You never know what is going to happen when you come down the stairs,' joking that she is still more likely to embarrass them." joking that she remains more likely to embarrass them.

"I think I do stuff to embarrass them! It's just life. I think anyone who's got kids you can't apologise for kids being kids you know. They're learning like they all are."

The star attributes her trim and toned size eight figure not to diet injections, but to a combination of reformer pilates and "this is called three children who don't like to walk!" She said: "Oh God, no, I can't commit to a vitamin regime, I am not going to commit to a diet regime. But I like sport, I am pretty active, I move around a lot and that's what it is."
