A peculiar theft incident has emerged from the Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh. In the Mahmudabad area, a young man named Suyash Patel stole an agricultural tool (rotary tiller) from a shop and left behind a heartfelt letter. What did the letter say?
The Emotional Letter Left Behind
"I am taking your equipment... which I value at 90,000... and in three years, with 10% interest, it will total 1,17,000... which you will receive within three years... May God bless you with success every day."
A Story of Desperation
These words are not from a bank agreement but from the letter left by the thief after committing the crime. This incident has sparked discussions in the Mahmudabad area due to the thief's honesty and desperation.
In fact, the unusual theft has left many astonished. The thief took a rotary tiller, a significant agricultural tool powered by a tractor, from the shop late at night.
Thief Expresses His Hardship
After the theft, the letter left by the suspect shocked readers. In it, he expressed his predicament, stating, "I assure you that this shameful act was due to my extremely difficult circumstances, influenced by some of my close friends who tried to ruin me and took all my tools. Please trust me. Thank you, brother."
Mistaken Identity of the Machine
The suspect, identified as Suyash Patel, had come to the shop with a companion. They mistakenly took the rotary tiller, thinking it was the right equipment. It was reported that the accused could not correctly identify the tools used in farming and ended up taking the wrong machine.
After the theft, the young man apologized in his letter, explaining that his situation was dire and he felt compelled to act. However, the plot thickened when he realized that the machine he had taken was of no use to him. Consequently, feeling guilty or realizing it was useless, he returned late at night to the shop to quietly place it back.
Caught Red-Handed by Locals
During this time, the shopkeeper became aware of the commotion. The shopkeeper and locals arrived at the scene and apprehended the young man and his accomplice. The rotary tiller and tractor were recovered from their possession. The police were promptly informed, and both suspects are currently being interrogated.
It has been reported that the accused are residents of Labraha village. The Mahmudabad police chief, Bhanu Pratap Singh, mentioned that the victim has not yet filed a written complaint; if a complaint is received, legal action will be taken. For now, this case of theft, the apology letter, and the attempt to return the machine has become a hot topic in the entire area.
