Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals by 77 runs in their 11th match of the IPL 2026, reaching second spot in the points table. It was GT’s fourth consecutive win, and they now have 14 points after 7 wins and 4 defeats. The host franchise once again conceded over 200 runs and ended up losing the fixture. Chasing 230, the 2008 champions were dismissed for 152 runs in 16.3 overs, with Ravindra Jadeja amassing 38 runs off 25 balls, laced with 3 fours and 2 sixes.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi once again went after the bowlers from the start of the run chase, but he couldn’t convert the start into a match-winning knock. He faced just 16 balls in his knock of 36 runs that also included 3 fours and 3 sixes. Yashasvi Jaiswal, the stand-in skipper, was unable to set the stage on fire, managing just three runs in four deliveries. Kagiso Rabada undid him while Mohammed Siraj sent back the 15-year-old.

Shimron Hetmyer recorded another low score, and he became Rabada’s second scalp of the contest. It was Rashid Khan’s show as the veteran Afghanistan spinner picked up four wickets. Dhrul Jurel (24 off 10), Donovan Ferreira  (4), Shubham Dubey (15) and Jadeja had no answers to Rashid’s brilliance. He conceded just 33 runs and was the pick of the bowlers. Jason Holder claimed three wickets and gave away 12 runs from his 2.3 overs.

Earlier, the wayward bowling and extras by Rajasthan bowlers allowed Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan to settle down. Gill accumulated 84 runs in 44 balls, hitting 9 fours and 3 sixes in the process. Sudharsan posted a 36-ball 55, packed with 6 boundaries and 2 maximums.

Jos Buttler (13) and Holder (7) couldn’t stay in the middle for a long time. However, Washington Sundar and Rahul Tewatia were impressive in the death overs. Sundar struck 3 sixes and 2 fours in his contribution of 37 runs, while Tewatia hit 2 sixes in his individual total of 14 runs in 4 balls.

Brijesh Sharma (2 wickets), Jadeja (1 wicket) and Yash Raj Punja (1 wicket) kept the Rajasthan batters quiet.

After their fifth loss of the season, Rajasthan have slipped to fifth spot.
