Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar franchise is back in the limelight. The makers recently dropped a strong hint about Dhurandhar 3, suggesting that the story of this spy universe is far from over and will continue in the next part. Meanwhile, after many weeks in theatres, Dhurandhar 2 is still performing well at the box office. The spy thriller has now entered week eight at the box office and is facing tough competition from new releases. However, it continues to attract audiences and maintain its hold both in India and overseas.
How much has Dhurandhar 2 earned so far?
According to media reports, on its 51st day, Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 collected around Rs 42 lakh nett in India. With this, the film’s total India net collection has reached Rs 1,141.09 crore, and its gross India collection stands at about Rs 1,365.71 crore. On the same day, the film earned around Rs 0.05 crore from overseas markets, taking its total overseas gross to about Rs 426.40 crore. Where is Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 heading next?
The producers have clearly stated that there will be no OTT release in May. This means Dhurandhar 2 gets at least one more full month in theatres to earn more money and pull in late audiences. Because of its strong run and growing worldwide total, trade experts feel there is a real chance that Dhurandhar 2 might challenge or even cross the worldwide earnings of Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which made over Rs 2,070 crore globally. If that happens, Ranveer Singh’s spy thriller will top the list of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time, likely to set huge expectations for its much-anticipated third instalment.READ NEXT
