Method of preparing barley water

For this, take some quantity of barley (about 100-250 grams) and clean it thoroughly, after that leave it soaked in water for about four hours.

Then mix this water in three to four cups of water and boil it on low flame for at least 45 minutes. After this, turn off the gas and let it cool down.

When it cools down, fill it in a bottle and use its water for drinking, this is a one day experiment. Do this process daily, it will be beneficial. People suffering from obesity please give up junk food.

Along with eating barley as a grain, what are the other benefits of drinking its water:

1. Reduce obesity, belly and waist fat: It is very useful in weight related problems. Such elements are found in it. Consuming which increases metabolism. Barley is useful in reducing obesity which can make you look slim.

How does it reduce obesity: Barley is a source of soluble and insoluble fiber. Due to this quality you feel full for a long time. Add two tablespoons of barley in two liters of water and boil it.

While boiling, cover the lid tightly so that the barley grains get cooked properly. When this mixture dissolves with water and becomes a light pink transparent mixture, then it should be understood that it is ready to drink, filter it and consume it daily.

Lemon, honey and salt can also be added to it. The ones with peel have more fiber and take more time to cook, hence the ones without peel are easier to cook. And consumption of barley-gram flour chapati will also reduce the obesity of not only the stomach and waist but of the entire body.


2. Urinary infection, dehydration, body toxins: Drinking this mixture (the mixture mentioned in point no. 1) will not only reduce belly fat but will also avoid the problem of dehydration. It is also helpful in treating urinary infections.

Along with relieving constipation, it also provides relief from Ama Dosha (toxic unwanted substances of the stomach according to Ayurveda). This grain has diuretic properties which removes excess water from the body along with toxins.


3. In heart diseases: The elements found in it keep cholesterol levels in check. Due to which you will not have any kind of heart related disease. The main reason for heart disease is low cholesterol level.
