According to Ritesh, during a conversation, Salman had directly said, “You cannot make a film without me, I have been in your previous films also, now I should be in this film too.” Only after this the discussion started regarding the character of Jeeva Mahale.

Ritesh told that he thought about this character for about a month, because he wanted that Salman’s presence should prove to be important and effective for the story and not just a star appearance. The character of Jeeva Mahale is considered very important historically, who played a role in many decisive battles with Shivaji Maharaj.

During the shooting of the film, Salman Khan also immediately agreed, although he was busy with another project at that time. Despite this, he took out time for this cameo and agreed to play the character.
